The
South Bay Smash Wheelchair Tennis Team
is based in the San Jose area and has provided a meeting ground for Bay
Area wheelchair players since 1996. The team holds regular practice sessions for recreational and
competitive wheelchair tennis players to improve their skills. Team members travel to compete in sanctioned tournaments.
Several
players have achieved national and international rankings.

Visitors
and Volunteers:
We welcome visitors who would like to see what wheelchair tennis is all
about as well as volunteers who would like to help with practices.
Club
Visitations:
We would be happy to visit your club and put on an exhibition and/or play
matches with members. Your members will enjoy meeting and playing with these amazing athletes,
be inspired by their skill and competitiveness and gain a new appreciation

What
Else You Should Know? The team is sponsored in part by the City of San Jose, Department of
Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services, and the Office of Therapeutic
Services (OTS). OTS serves persons with disabilities and chronic health
conditions. It provides recreation, education & community services to
enrich the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
